The Fractal Ord Index Has Been Retired

The ord index service that previously powered ordinals.fractalbitcoin.com has been retired and will no longer receive updates or maintenance.

This implementation faced persistent operational challenges, including rapidly growing data volume and difficulty keeping pace with the latest block height. After evaluating its long-term stability and maintenance requirements, the team made the decision to retire the service.

Fractal will continue to provide inscription, BRC-20, and related data through the new Fractal Standard Indexing Service. For exploring inscription data, you can use https://uniscan.cc/fractal.

For Developers

If your product depends on an API previously provided by the Fractal ord index, please open an issue in the Fractal indexer GitHub repository, including:

• The API endpoint or data you require
• The expected response shape
• The existing endpoint currently in use
• A brief description of your use case

Each request will be reviewed, and the required replacement endpoint will be added to the Fractal Standard Index based on the specific use case.

What's Next

The Fractal Standard Index will become the primary index for Fractal data. A dedicated entry point for inscription and BRC-20 data is also planned, with further details to be shared as they become available.
